It has been awhile since I posted, and now is a good time to start sharing my images again. Here is the first image from a series I have just started called “Forgotten in Waha”. For this series I will be exploring the lost things and places in West Texas or Southeastern New Mexico.
My parents both grew up in this area, and I feel at home with these images. They capture the part of me that always feels a bit alone and isolated.
They also leave me with questions: Why were people living out here? Why did they leave?
As I work on this project, I hope to get some answers for a few of these places.
